Tropiquaria is not just a small zoo, but a lot more!

It is based on a 1930s art-deco BBC transmitter hall, which in part is still functioning. Indeed the tropical hall takes much of its heating from the BBC Wales transmitters.

As well as animals in the main hall, there are many more animals outside, several play areas, both inside and outside, including the "Nocturnal House"!
